What is the process of the treatment?

As we inspected the area we decide where we need to do the treatment. It is usually the bed, under and around the bed, walls, pictures etc. We use the correct chemical and spray the bed and the surrounding area properly, lift and move bed and furniture. Once this is done we use cold fog which also contains chemical and fog the area. That will help the hidden bugs to come out of their place and will die.

You need to wash the bedding sheet on 60 degrees and any clothes that were around the bed.

Once this is done, you will need to leave the house for 3-4 hours (it is a legal requirement). When you come back you have to open all windows to let the air ventilate. You are allowed to sleep in the bed, but please avoid cleaning as it is mentioned above.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CHEMICAL DOESN’T KILL THE EGGS. IF THE AREA IS HIGHLY INFECTED THE TREATMENT NEEDS TO BE REPEATED IN 2-3 WEEKS!

What is cold fog?

This technique is based on the spraying of insecticidal agents using a special generator, which is a compact mobile device. It generates a misty cloud with the insecticidal substance used, turning it into particles no larger than 80 microns. Due to this, the smallest droplets of poison mixed with air are deposited evenly on all surfaces of the room, including not only interior items, but also panels and the ceiling.

This technology of removing parasites is called “cold” due to the fact that the resulting cloud of smoke has a temperature close to the environment.

Before the treatment remember:

All clothes must be packaged in plastic bags to prevent insecticide from getting into them. The same should be done with food and kitchen utensils.
Make a wet cleaning in the room, removing the dusty layer from the floor surface. This will help speed up the impact of insecticidal components on bedbugs
All pets need to be taken away for the period of the treatment and not return them until at least 4 hours.

What is the main cause of bed bugs?

Most often bed bugs break into our homes carried with infested luggage or furniture. They typically do not migrate by themselves from one building to another. However, bed bugs could shift from one flat to another, within a building or block of flats, in case of a severe infestation in some of the flats. Shall I worry about cracks in the floor?

Yes, all gaps between floorboards, allowing bed bugs to go underneath the floor, or cracks along the skirting should be sealed, ideally.

Would the treatment do any damage in the property?

Why are the bed bugs biting my partner and I haven’t got any bites?

Most probably both have been bitten, but one may not react to the bites. About 20% of all people do not react to bed bug bites.

How do we know when the bed bugs are completely gone?

In case that you react to the bites, 3 weeks with no bites after the initial 2 weeks period waiting time after the treatment is a very good indication that the bed bugs are completely exterminated.

Shall I clean before or after the treatment?

Cleaning beforehand is necessary, just make sure that you seal and bin the vacuum bag/contents. You should not vacuum clean carpets or wet mop hard floors for 2-3 weeks after a spray treatment.

How can I clean my property after the treatment?

You can use a dry brush or broom for hard surfaces, spot clean for carpets without vacuum cleaning. We need to keep the residue of the product as much as possible to have better chances to completely poison the bed bugs and exterminate them.
